giant life choice update
i'm not going to graduate school next year. yeah. crazy.
other stuff:
next week i am meeting with city repair to apply for funding for the 'ballyhoo', my free fun event this summer. jonathan, a buddy of mine thinks i have a good chance of getting money and/or sponsorship from them. if that happened the ballyhoo would fly off the charts in terms of credibility. i am so stoked about it i'm about to explode!
at women and tran's bike night i did a bunch more work on my bicycle. it is officially ridable!!! this week i changed the front gear cable and housing. adjusting this guy was really tricky. the cable tension was super sensitive because the front dérailleur was rubbing pretty bad on the chain. after messing with the limit screw (which there is only one of b/c of my crazy french bike) and adjusting the tension forever i finally got it to a good place, with minimal rubbing. first thing i did was fray the new cable by over tightening the pinch bolt. again, the dérailleur is super weird and old, so you can't see how far you are tightening it, so that was a bit of a bummer. but, salvageable. i also adjusting my front brakes. next week i'm tightening my head set!
that's all!
love,
kelly
