hawaii knocked my socks off. i was learning how to think about teaching science by day, carefree booze cruiser by night. there were renegade stolen golf cart rides, 40's of mickeys, kisses, barracudas, lavish pool poaches, ocean floats, snorkels, lounge chairs, jacuzzis, hula hoops, musical chairs, kings, giggles, pineapples, etc.

strange pieces of my day:

1. i almost died flying down the bicycle path today. a massive sunning snake stretched over 80% of the bike path forced me to swerve and brake in an extremely unsafe manner at probably around 35 miles per hour.

2. i cooked a bitchin' fava bean dish. shucking fava beans is funny, the pods are super fluffy and soft on the inside.

3. i have been floating about the day in blissful crush mode. it's nice.

4. i haven't slept much for days, and can't believe i'm still awake posting this.

5. this morning one of the first things i did was flop a buttery crumpet onto the thigh of my new favorite pants. damn, damn, damn.
