imagine...

two people riding bicycles into the sunset on a path next to a gurgling brook. the overwhelming beauty and splendor of the scene causes the two to spontaneously clasp hands. now they are riding together, united, to witness the wonder that is living. the two start getting closer, and the handle bars of the bicycles sneak on top of each other, linking the bicycles as they still continue at a brisk pace down the cement path. the two friends release their hands to focus on their new tangle.

the bikes tear apart with a raw violence that sends the conglomeration of people and metal crashing into the ground. one victim tumbles once, twice, over and under his bicycle. the items resting in his yellow basket are flung into the air and come hurtling back down upon the earth clanging and crashing into the concrete. pieces of plastic explode and splinter off a coffee mug and bicycle tubes fly off the trail. the other member of this tragic team flew over her handlebars landing on top of the crumpled bicycle beneath her. both members lay strewn over the path in a hollywood type shock after the accident. after dusting each other off and checking for broken body parts the couple decided that none of the injuries were too serious and continued on their way.

the picture below is a piece of documentation a few days after this event:
