S-T-R-E-T-C-H-E-D!

that's right people i am feeling stretched. i really wanted to write about my glorious, glorious event more, but there has simply been no time at all. period. i am constantly riding my bike to an event, planning an event, attending an event, or trying to do things to make money for my TRIP TO COSTA RICA! it's really a backbreaking job, having so much fun.

the funny thing about this complaint is that three months ago i dreamt of a time when i would be so overloaded with fun. i wanted each minute of each day to be packed with great people and great fun activities. my dreams have come true! now i want my hour long coffee breaks back. i want to go to bed early and wake up at the crack of dawn to mosey down to the fresh pot and journal/read zines/send emails/space the fuck out.

truth is i am exceedingly happy with my current situation. my worries are all based on fears of the future. A.) how will i pay for my trip to costa rica? B.) how much am i going to miss portland while i am in costa rica? C.) how much am i going to hate graduate school? D.) how much am i going to miss portland while i am at graduate school? E.) how much fun am i having learning about this new person i really like a whole bunch? F.) how much of a bummer is it going to be to have that adventure end (end is too harsh a word, but you get the picture) when i move to santa cruz?

but, yes there is a flip side:
A.) how beautiful is santa cruz, ca? B.) how hilarious is it going to be to live in a yurt down there throughout the winter? C.) how awesome of a surfer will i be after living on the ocean for 2 years? D.) how much do i miss chemistry? (a lot is the answer) E.) how cool will it be to get a FREE masters degree? F.) how rad will it be to have all my friends visit me during the year? (most beautiful vacation spot ever!)

those are the thoughts in my head right now. it's all very overwhelming. but, i am doing a fairly bang up job of busting through and maximizing fun despite the concerns.

that's all for now

today.

i finally slept for more than 4 hours last night, which is the first time that has really happened in about 2 weeks! here is a good list of how things went today:

1. i woke up at 8:15. my ankle hurt a bit because ande and i ate shit on the hawthorne bridge coming back from zoobomb last night. how funny. we didn't crash zoobombing, which a ton of people do, but we did bite it on the safest bridge in town on the way home. ande's fancy bmx bike almost got hit by a minivan, but i yanked it out of the grating before that happened. injury-wise i was totally fine compared to ande...i really took him out. yikes.

in my head at 8:15am this morning i thought... 'shit i'll have to book it home to get to work on time.'

2. i kicked it to ne really fast on my bicycle. it was cold, and thus a fabulous way to really wake up.

3. at work my least favorite crew was working. it would have sucked, but today everyone was great. i think it was because i finally went to bed at a decent hour last night.

4. i came home and examined my tire the whole ride...a slow leaker maybe?

5. right as i was turning a clown named 'will workforfood' said, "have a good rest of your ride" and smiled at me.

6. i bantered a bit with housemates.

7. i did a long yoga session in the yurt.

8. i showered, brush my teeth, moisturized, etc. all the neglected hygiene of the past whirlwind accounted for!

9. i met ande at a really good ethiopian restaurant for dinner. it was delicious.

10. we rode to the wonder ballroom for the datarock show. ande said it was $12, then later $15, but it was really $19. we didn't have enough cash and he really wanted to go. i like them too, so we bought a lemonade to get cash back up the road. the guys at the door made us chug the drink before going in. it was really gross. inside we discovered that we had already missed datarock's performance. crap! a rad lady who calls herself 'planningtorock' was tearing it up. she made the night worthwhile.

11. hot chip kinda sucked. plus, people kept trying to cut through our space, which was a bummer.

12. we busted out of the theater and bought juice at a 7-11. i also bought 2 red vines, and the lady at the counter gave me 2 more because she liked my furry mohawk helmet. we then walked to a bench and drank it. i changed an IMPEACH sticker to just say PEACH and took pictures for lily and tony.

13. both of us rode home. it was really cold. hanging out like bums on bus stop benches is dumb. we laughed a lot though, and that's good.

common things that happen to me these days:

FIRST: people often give ande and i free things. we've pretty much got something free everyday for the past 2 weeks. examples of free things we've received: vegan chocolate covered espresso beans ($10 worth), 2 red vines (20 cents worth), 2 dozen fresh vegan voodoo donuts (lots of money), an 8' by 4' white board, 2 cups of coffee, pizza, lots of tofurky, and more! here's the 3 key ingredients we've identified that facilitate us getting free stuff: 1. be poor. 2. look funny. 3. be charming.

SECOND: i am always doing things. i never stop. i am either constantly riding my bike, hanging out with people who like to ride bikes, giggling with my fun co-director, building interior systems, planning events, hauling fun things to events, or working at hot lips ALL THE TIME.

THIRD: people really like the 'dream team supreme'. we get invited to help with projects all the time. it's cool to now have the experience of planning an event because now lots of people talk to me about their projects and want me to help them!

FORTH: bikes are always ridden.

FIFTH: i am usually with ande.

SIXTH: my helmet now has a fatty strip of fuzzy fur over it, like a mohawk. it's slamming!

SEVENTH: i don't blog anymore, or enough anymore due to extremely busy circumstances.
